Defense Verdict in Brain Damage and Paraplegia Case
Obtained defense verdict in disputed liability auto negligence case involving a bicycle and automobile collision. The Plaintiff was sadly rendered brain damaged and is a paraplegic. Medical specials exceeded $1,500,000.00. Plaintiff sought $12,000,000.00 but the jury returned a defense verdict on liability in a hotly contested case.
Successful Fraud Defense in Homeowners’ Burglary Claim
Total defense verdict in alleged homeowner’s burglary claim in which insureds claimed $65,000.00 in stolen personal property and jewelry. Insurer denied claim payment on basis that it was an intentionally staged loss by the insured. Prevailed on defense that insureds breached the Concealment or Fraud provisions of the policy and staged the loss. Secured award of fees and costs against Plaintiffs that was not dischargeable in bankruptcy.

David A. Bronstein
Founding Partner and Trial Attorney, David A. Bronstein brings a dynamic courtroom presence and significant trial experience to the law firm, which he co-founded with Partner, Carlos Carmona.
David has practiced law in Florida since 1987 and has achieved many legally significant courtroom victories. His current trial practice focuses on a full spectrum of insurance matters, with an emphasis on suspicious insurance claims, property coverage claims, and automobile negligence and general liability matters.

Originally from Cuba, Carlos Carmona, Jr. came to the United States as a toddler and grew up in Hialeah, Florida. Mr. Carmona is a graduate of Miami American Senior High School and the Florida State University.
Carlos graduated cum laude in 2006 from the Shepard Broad Law Center at Nova Southeastern University. In addition to being a member of the Moot Court Honor Society, Carlos was on the Law Review, and graduated as a member of the publication's Executive Board.
