Karen G. Brown
Karen G. Brown is a Senior Associate at Bronstein & Carmona, P.A. She was born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Ms. Brown obtained her Bachelor’s degree, cum laude, from Syracuse University in 2004 with dual majors in Political Science and Sociology, and a minor in Policy Studies. She then obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of Miami in 2007. During her law school career, Ms. Brown interned for the Honorable Mary Barzee (11th Judicial Circuit of Florida), was a Certified Legal Intern for the Office of The Public Defender (11th Judicial Circuit), and interned at Holland and Knight, LLP.
Karen defended clients as a Public Defender for the 15th Judicial Circuit for five years, where she practiced in the appellate division, county court, juvenile court, and in circuit court. She has tried numerous jury trials through verdict in both County Court and Circuit Court. Ms. Brown has also successfully argued before the Florida Fourth District Court of Appeal.
After a successful career in public service, Karen continued her career in litigation representing major financial institutions in creditor disputes. She has litigated real estate matters throughout the State of Florida. Ms. Brown currently focuses on insurance litigation, specifically in the area of Personal Injury Protection defense.
She is admitted to the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida in addition to her membership in The Florida Bar.
